9th Place | Voted Out 5-4
By Jeff Varner
#3625 Hey Jenn. Congrats on surviving that tribal council.

Here are some questions:

1. That was a pretty hectic tribal council with a lot of drama. What was your take on what went down? And what is the deal between you and Dan?

2. Did that vote go as you expected? If not, what'd you expect and what do you suspect went wrong?

3. With Kelly being the first member of the jury, at what point do you have to start considering jury votes?

4. Give me a status update on your game: How are you feeling about your place in the game this round? What's your path to the end?

#3670 We had to vote out Kelly at tribal council because she and So were basically just like trying to spread chaos and make everyone really panicky. But, I think I managed to really ingratiate myself with Yali because I just fought with Dan the whole time and dissociated myself from all the rest of the drama. I think Tribal Council was definitely eye-opening and I've formed some new opinions on people from it.

I think Nadiya and Drew are definitely playing more quiet mastermind games. They're pulling the strings while everyone else blows up. So it'll definitely be interesting to see how that plays out. At first I thought it was Jaclyn that was calling the shots, but I definitely think Nadiya's more the man behind the curtain.

Drew could definitely end up being a huge threat down the line if he never pisses anyone off just like last tribal, so I really have to keep that in mind.

I really like Val after this tribal. Even if she's playing me, she's definitely fun to be around and is always on the same wavelength as I am. We both have no time for Dan's shit too <333 The one thing is, I'm not sure how receptive Val would be to making moves with me. I think she's pretty comfortable with her alliance of Jaclyn, Nadiya and Dale and really isn't looking to screw that up.

Dale is definitely panicky and is always really afraid. It was so easy for Jeff to get him to crack and wet his pants at tribal. Really hope I can use that to my advantage in the future.

I think I'm starting to see a really two-faced side of Reed. One minute he's your best friend, chatting you up like you've been friends for years, the next minute he's just offering you up to the wolves and looking out for himself. Saw it at tribal too. He was a bit hostile towards Kelly until she called him out on it and then he was all smiles. Definitely someone I want to watch out for.

And finally, the biggest surprise of the night was Queen Jaclyn. She hasn't said two words to pretty much anyone and has been keeping to herself since the day we merged. Suddenly, she's just this big fucking cyclone going through tribal and hurling insults everywhere. She just like morphed from this shy, little wallflower into a fire-breathing screeching banshee! I was just cringing the entire time and suffering from second-hand embarassment, especially once she started spewing out derogatory terms.

I mean, it's one thing for Dan to call everyone a cunt or a gaylord because he's just one big troll that no one pays attention to. Jaclyn, I think, just showed her true colors and showed what a supremely awful person she really is. She definitely wasn't trolling when she was attacking So like that. She was just spewing absolutely vile hatred.

Unfortunately though, her inactivity and really shitty personality make Jaclyn a perfect goat. I think Dale's pretty goat-ish as well. Of course Dan's the biggest goat of them all because all he does is spout shit and pretend to cause chaos (while everyone else brings the real drama). And so that definitely worries me that Yali is just going to take their goats to the end and make this a predictable endgame. But I think I have to wait and see.

#3678 The vote definitely went how I expected, except for the mystery vote for So. I figured it was Queen Jaclyn who voted for her, but Val said she denied it. It's possible Dale just panicked as well. Either way, I think it was a wonderful way for me to start the jury phase. I had to vote out a potential ally, but in all the chaos, I think she'd still vote for me at the end and possibly even rally the jury for me. Plus, I think I've finally earned the trust of the Yali tribe and may be able to integrate smoothly within their rankings.

I think you have to immediately start thinking about the jury and how they would vote and how voting out each potential jury member affects you. I think Queen Jaclyn definitely made a huge mistake by pissing off So, which likely also pissed off Kelly and probably a few others turned their heads at her vile comments. That's already two potential jury votes (honestly, three counting myself) she's completely burned and the jury just barely started. But hey, I guess that's just how she wants to play.

#3679 Do you condone the time honored tradition of goat herding to the final 3? I mean at the end of the day that's going to be a person taking the place of someone seemingly more worthy. How do you feel about this?

#3681 Let's put it this way: I can definitely understand people who want to take goats to the end. It's a legitimate way to win the game. I would honestly love to play that game myself if I had the option. It's a great strategy... if you're the one controlling the game and the one who ultimately gets to drag those goats to the end.

However, since I don't believe I have enough power in this game to herd goats to the end, I think it's in my best interest to vote the goats out and free up some spots in the finale for myself.

#3684 At this stage in the game, how far do you think you can get?

#3805 So apparently sometime between yesterday night and today, all fucking hell broke loose. Suddenly Drew's telling me that Jaclyn, Nadiya and Val are contemplating voting for me. Okay fine, screw them. I tried to play nice and I tried to secure their numbers, and I'm not just gonna let them vote me out without a fight. His plan is to vote out Val, so at tribal council, I'm putting her name down in all caps, bolded and in the biggest fucking font I can use. Done deal.

The only problem is that his plan relies on using Dan and Joaquin as numbers. Those two will probably just vote for me out of spite, numbers be damned. It'll honestly be a goddamn miracle if I make it past this tribal.

#3810 And, once again, leading up to tribal, suddenly pandemonium strikes again! In the past hour alone, I've heard Dan's, Joaquin's, So's, mine, Jaclyn's, Val's, and Nadiya's name thrown around. Fuck... these people literally have no chill.

I think we've finally settled on Joaquin as the safe target. If he wins immunity, it's Nadiya or Val all the way. If it's Joaquin, Drew apparently created some cockamamie scheme that involves Dale and Dan voting for Nadiya and Val and trying to flip them or something? I dunno, I'm just keeping my distance in case his plan blows up in his face so that I can just slide by undetected just like with the Kelly vote.

#3819 With so many names thrown around, who are you expecting to vote who tonight?

Maybe the better question is: who do you expect will be voting together tonight?

#3822 I know for sure that Val, Jaclyn and Nadiya will be voting together as a tight bloc. So and I are hopefully voting the same way. That's really all I know.

Honestly, Val and Nadiya are just really exposing their final 3 alliance hardcore right now and really showing the rest of their cards as well. The moment one of them sniffed up Nadiya's name, suddenly I'm so popular among the Yali girls and all of them (except of course Jaclyn, who does nothing) are PMing me like crazy and making sure I'm on board. Suddenly I'm not being shut out of their conversations and now I'm just being guilted more than a Jewish kid. Val told me that if I don't vote Joaquin with them, that Dan and Joaq would happily vote for me. Like... okay, if I wanted to be beaten down, I would've just stuck with Dan and Joe. First they try to use Dan and Joaq to vote me out, now they're suddenly best buddies with me? No way, not gonna happen. I'm not buying their story one bit and if it weren't for Drew, I'd gladly flip the game on them.

#3846 Okay, this shit is getting out of hand. I literally left for 10 minutes and suddenly everything went to hell for the third time today. What in the actual fuck is going on? Suddenly Drew is hardcore targeting Dale and the Yali girls are super suspicious of Drew (as they should be).

I honestly just decided to fuck it and I've just been stoking the flames between the members of Yali, making sure the girls mistrust Drew and Dale, and vice versa. I honestly have no fucking clue who I'm voting for tonight, all I know is tribal is going to be one big amazing clusterfuck.
