#573 Hi Val! Just kicking off your Episode 03 confessionals with a couple of questions, feel free to answer them whenever.

1) So you guys have managed to survive your first tribal council, did you learn anything new or was anything confirmed for you about your tribe?

2)The votes came in unanimously against John Rocker, is it fair to say that you guys are a pretty unified tribe? Is there a weak link in your group at all?

3) How do you feel about the people on the other tribe? Is anyone standing out to you at all?

#578 I learned I need to get louder. Nobody knows I'm the HBIC and that's not a good thing.

Missy is a weak link and we voted for her so no one knew we had alliance of 5. There wasn't enough time to get unified front against her. I wish it had been that way.

Missy again. And then Keith for not standing out. Jac is super precise with everything... concise, too. She's in my group, so that's cool.

Funny thing is, I feel like I've grown closer to Drew in this few days. I can still HBIC if I've got a dudebro next to me.

#580 Oh my was question was pertaining to the other tribe, Asmat. What do you think of them?

What do you feel you need to do for everyone to acknowledge that you're the "HBIC"?

#585 Dammit Kelly, with the tough questions.

The other tribe. They talk too much. But they literally all sound the same. Like a bunch of white noise coming in. But i guess there a people like Max who doesn't do that. But I don't see him, so he doesn't exist.

As for the second question... I'm gonna talk to each and every one of them individiually. Encourage them. When they feel anxious, I'm going to tell them everything is ok. BUT, just like with your other overprotective moms, they'll become dependent on me and need my reassurance for every little thing.

Whatever, I want them to know they need me. Reed's been my practice.

Side though
That 5th place finisher from Palau was right, we are boring. It's effective, though, and that's that tempting tedious apple.

#588 Do you often find yourself in the mom role in real life? How does that come about?

Oh and don't worry too much about the other hosts side comments, a lot of us are also just glorified spectators, what's important is that you guys play the best game you can.

#589 Oddly enough, at times I do. I mean, I'm a dog walker, so I'm scolding often. I got a friend who always needs a good verbal spanking.

It typically occurs in very specific contexts.I tend to get very frustrated when my people do bad unto themselves. I hate those ironic, thoughtless choices and ideas that people perpetuate on themselves. For example, wanting to get John Rocker out for antagonizing the other team. Honey, that's not the reason we got rid of him. But I get preachy and that's what I'm afraid I'll do in this role I've pigeon holed myself in. But, it's good for something, obviously.

Nadiya wrote:Me too. But I've been hearing some bad things and we need to stick together now more than ever. Missy and Keith were throwing your name around as who they want to vote out next... and we obviously need to choose who all 5 of us want to vote out next in case we lose. I'm going to talk about this in a message to the whole group. But I think I may wait until tomorrow in icon_mml case more info comes to light.

Oh, girl, they're saying my name?!

#594 Things are not going well. I blamed my knowledge on the outsiders of my alliance. I hope it wasn't too obvious.

Missy wrote:Lol, yeah. Val, i know ehat youre talking about. I didnt think this would happen so soon - time to come clean. I am in an alliance of 5 with jac, keith, drew, nadiya, and I. they were talking about voting for you if we lose. HOWEVER - i really like you and want you in. Plus, ive been talking to keith and based on the information he and you have given me, he is manipulating the 5 person alliance while working with Dale. I think if we all get out Dale, me, you, reed, and a 4th can take out keith.

This is a mess. I am a wreck. I don't like this one bit.

#618 Missy is throwing everybody under the bus, especially since I started to question her. People can talk to each other.

#637 I damn well hope so. At the risk of playing to an analogous James Clement 1.0 game, don't night the wicked stepmother's Apple.

#643 Edit: Bite

Anyway. There's only so much you can do. The only thing I worry about it how out of the loop Dale and Keith feel. Just those two and Missy (though I hopefully threw a wrench into their working together by claiming that the those two guys were the ones who had leaked her plan to me) can't do anything themselves, but it only takes one other person can make an issue.

That last part leads to another thought suggested by Nadiya (originally from Missy, so it's whatever, but I gotta listen to Nad), is that a guys alliance might be brewing. Not this crazy elusive female BS we're always hearing. While I think it's crazy talk from a too extra player, the obvious of the core five I was a part of establishing was 2 guys and 2 girls. I don't think we're gender divided, but I wouldn't want any thoughts to linger.

#644 Why do you think it always ends up being about gender? Like how does that happen?

#648 People looking for reasons to be worried. Really. Gender is obvious, and people go all batshit because it's possible that other people will notice that there could be a connection. Real cave-people shit. You look like me, I look like you, we work now together. I think it's stupid, but once the idea is out there, and now it is (thanks to that grade A dirt squirrel Missy), it'll perseverate. I hate this job.
