(1) Tribal tonight: did the vote surprise you, or do you think you had a good idea of what was going to happen?

(2) Now that the votes have been tallied, how do you feel about your position in the tribe? What is your plan to keep yourself safe moving forward?

(3) What do you want to happen if Asmat loses another challenge? Do you have a strategy in mind to see that plan through?

- Thu Apr 21, 2016 10:17:28 pm #1302 The vote definitely surprised me. I knew Joe, myself, Kelly and So were voting for Keith. However, the fifth vote for Keith was definitely a shocker. I was told that they'd tell Missy to vote for Reed because we couldn't trust her... what changed?! And how come I wasn't clued into the "suddenly Missy is trustworthy but the Yali guys aren't" vote.

It was definitely an eye-opening tribal and that just solidified my plans: I'm moving onto greener pastures to work with Yali. I don't trust anyone on Asmat anymore and I feel like I'm on the bottom of every alliance in that group. At least Yali is one big hot mess with opportunities to slither through to the end.

If Asmat loses another challenge, we're targeting Missy for sure. So, Kelly and Joe are fine with using and abusing her for one vote and then casting her aside. So am I, because I get to keep my new-found alliances with Drew and Reed a secret for at least one more vote and they get the chance to integrate and maybe find an idol. As long as those two stay in the game and possibly get an idol, I've definitely got a chance to ride the Yali wave to the end.

- Fri Apr 22, 2016 6:59:58 am #1333 I wouldn't call it a big move because I believe big moves are inherently stupid and rash, made out of desperation for attention rather than actual gameplay sense. I started out this game wanting to make a big move for the hell of it because I thought it'd be a fun thing to do. But now I think I'm definitely planning a smart move that just so happens to involve me moving toward a more Yali-based endgame.

I think siding with Yali is definitely a move I need to make because I feel like I'm on the bottom of every Asmat alliance: Joaquin has his own alliance, Kelly and So have basically shut me out of discussions, and everyone else has their own plan that clearly doesn't involve me or my vote. I feel that there's also more room for movement in Yali because they're all so divided. I think it would be easier to play them against each other to get to the end than it would be playing Asmat.

Smart move, Big Move, Small move, Dumb Move, as long as you move and aren't stagnant, and are actually playing the game and trying to position yourself to win, that's a good thing. (Not that you never were, just clarifying). A small move here could turn into your biggest move if say, you win. It's not only about having something to point to for a jury to prove your worth in winning, but also I mean, if you're not making moves, are you really playing survivor? And what is a move anyway, it's all relative. </soliloquy>

"Moves" aside, who on Yali could you see yourself being close with? Also, who is currently your biggest threat? Is taking out your biggest threat a good option for you immediately?

- Fri Apr 22, 2016 5:46:22 pm #1353 I don't really know who I could be close with, just because Reed and Drew are the only ones I've gotten a chance to talk to. Other than that, I'm not a fan of Dale, but I could see myself getting along with Nadiya and Val since they're so hilarious.

Reed seems to be on exactly the same wavelength as me: everyone sucks. I felt like I immediately connected with him after the swap. So I could definitely see myself working with him long-term just because I feel like he's definitely someone who's not afraid to make a move and shake things up. He had the balls to call Missy out and jeopardize his position in the game and that's something I definitely respect. Reed definitely seems like someone I want on my side.

I was really wary of Drew and thought he was a huge jerk at the beginning of the game. I definitely thought he'd be the arrogant mastermind type like Joe and thought he'd be someone to watch out for as well. But now that I've actually gotten a chance to chat with Drew, he seems like an outright nice guy. It's not like the fake slimey nice guy vibe that I get from Joe, there's just a genuine great vibe about him. When he says he wants to play an honest game and prove his worth to the tribe, I believe it. Of course, he could be playing me, but I think Drew really is just a hard-working guy who wants to play an honest, clean game and I really like that about him.

So yeah, I've gotten a great vibe from both Reed and Drew and really hope I can somehow wade through this mess of a tribe and help them get to the merge. If everything goes to my plan and Missy leaves at the next tribal, the hardest vote is going to be convincing So and Kelly that Joe needs to go before Drew and Reed. I mean, the guys are definitely making my job easier by taking the honest approach and playing clean games, but it's still going to be a hard sell. And I certainly can't do it without them because So and Kelly do everything together. If one of them votes with Joe, the other will follow and So (as the leader) will ultimately get to decide who leaves.

Kelly's coming up with all these crazy plans like a 4-3 split or a 4-2-1 split or a 3-2-2 split like... Why?! Adding to that, she's trying to depend on Reed and Drew to do the split vote. I just think the whole thing is ridiculous. Missy doesn't even have an idol, and even if she did, she's not going to blindside one of us. She's going to go after Reed or Drew.

It just irritates me that it's always her way or the highway with Kelly. She's just extremely bossy and never budges on a vote. And the vote always ends up going exactly the way Kelly wants. She wants to keep Joe, so Joe sticks around. She wants to keep Reed, so he's sticking around even if Missy plays an idol. It's just so annoying. But I guess, for now, I have to stick with her.

At any rate, if we lose the challenge tonight (which is likely, because I think about half our tribe ended up taking a clue, so we'll have 3 or 4 penalties stacked up), I'm going to have so much fun writing Missy's name down at Tribal. I can't wait for her to leave because she's just an obnoxious and duplicitous person who expect to get to the end and win purely based off pity. And I definitely don't want her to stick around any longer and possibly worm her way through to the next swap or even the merge, where she can just pull the same shit with different people. No matter what happens, I'm not letting any of this split vote shit ruin my plans. I'm making sure Missy leaves next at all costs.
