Hi Joaquin! Here are some quick questions to get you going on your confessionals for this next round, feel free to answer them whenever.

1) How did you feel about the vote and tribal council in general, did you feel like you learned any more or less about your tribe and your dynamics together?

2) So initially wanted a group vote on what to do with the idol, what are your thoughts on that whole situation?

3) Could you give us a ranking of all the people left in your tribe based on trustworthiness? Explain to us as well why they rank that way.

Hi Kelly!

1) I thought the vote was very straightforward and went as expected. The first vote is always a bit nervewracking in an ORG because you don't have the solidarity of a vote to place your trust on - but in this case, booting someone who was completely inactive along with the many group PMs (alliance and whole tribe) made me feel more comfortable than usual. I don't place any weight on the stray Max vote, chaos votes don't really mean a lot at this stage, especially to Max, who may be the least threatening person on the whole tribe.

However, I did learn a lot about the tribe dynamics. Like I said in my drunk post, found it very suspicious that Kelly would literally just tell our alliance in a group message that she was really close with So and they she had the power to tell So what to do with the idol. Whatever, that's just a transparent two-person alliance. Then So plays her idol ON SIERRA. Wow. Might have been one of the most transparent moves ever, to try to swing her to a threesome. That threesome certainly caught my attention, and it did to Dan as well. Again rises the theme of uniting people against something - the threat of this trio helped band Dan, Joe and I into a final 3 alliance.

2) She should have just played it on herself. Basically she was just looking for a way for group approval of her actions, and ended up doing the least transparent thing possible. Horrible move on So's part. Dan has even said he might want to blindside her soon.

3) Trustworthiness in tiers:

Tier 1 - Dan & Joe
My final three right now. Dan loves that he can talk game to me, and having the trust to bounce ideas off of each other will be huge for our survival as an alliance. He is definitely a smart and savvy player though, which will be something to watch in the very long run. Joe is not as strategically inclined, but a really loyal and nice guy. No concerns about him.

Tier 2 - Sierra and Jenn
Sierra is a loyal and smart player, who based on my conversations with her and Dan's, we're hoping she sticks with us long-term. Even if she is entertaining the Kelly/So duo, I don't think she's gonna target us right now. Jenn I can't really trust with the real dynamics of the tribe since she'll know she's on the bottom, but I believe that we'll look out for each other's backs and I really want to make sure she isn't the next boot in case we need a number in the future.

Tier 3 - Kelly, So, Max
Max never talks to me, even when I try (maybe he's super awkward or out of it? idk) so it's real hard to trust him with anything. Kelly and So for all the reasons above. They are playing too hard, too early. This is really bad because if you want a smoother game experience, I should want to be united against Yali, not your stupid fucking side alliances. Numbers are too important this early.

4) Bonus round - random thoughts
We'll have to see when we get there, but Dan threw out the idea of after voting out Max, to blindside So. This is something that is really conflicting to me - on one hand, it gives our threesome control of the tribe and will hopefully tone down Kelly's scheming. At the same time, do I really want to be at full control of the tribe after the third vote out? My trio will start to have a target on our heads. I generally don't like to have to start really playing hard until I get to the merge. Additionally, it may be tough numbers wise - if we are able to stick as six until the merge, I would think that our social skills are much more nuanced than a high schoolers' and that we could easily outmaneuver them. Idk. I'll just play it by ear.

Speaking of the drunk post, could we expect more of this type of behavior in the future? What was the general reaction that amongst your tribe mates?

I'll read the game. They all thought it was funny and lightened up the game. If I need less of a target or people are being too serious I have no hesitations in doing it again

Joaq playing devil's advocate, wouldn't it be better to give your team of 3 control versus letting someone else who you view as least trustworthy stay and potentially take that from you? What do you think are the pros and cons of the move?

Yeah, but as much fun as it'd be, you don't win Survivor during the pre-merge. If making the move rubs enough people the wrong way to the point where I won't be able to have numbers to make it far post-merge, who cares if I had "control" at the third vote?

But what good is numbers if you don't trust them?

Trust is a big word, Ms. Marissa. Trust them to do what?

Do I trust them enough to make a final 3 pact? No. Do I trust them enough to get me through this part of the game? I'm leaning yes.

Don't worry, the chaos will come soon enough.
